The 2nd Annual BC2BC (British Columbia to Baja California) Rally results are in and four Tesla entrants finished in the top five based on overall time results from the 9-day, 4-stage, 1508 mile course. An electric motorcycle made in Santa Cruz, California snatched second place.
The race down the west coast is open to any electric powered vehicle and seeks to call attention to the opportunities that new technology offers for employment and infrastructure investments while weaning the country off of petroleum and treating the .environment a bit better. Also competing were the ZERO motorcycle, a Toyota RAV4 EV, two Nissan Leaf, and a Mitsubish iMiev. There’s little doubt that Tesla significant edge in charging times and driving range sealed their domination of this event.
