Just like Austin Powers, Tesla has been somewhat of an International Man of Mystery.
It made its Chinese bow earlier this week, but now Brits have something to celebrate – the first Tesla supercharging station has been spotted in the UK.
The chargers were spied in London at a station where electric-car users on long distance commutes can stop to recharge their vehicle.
While Tesla has not explicitly announced its intentions to enter Harry Potter land, there’s good reason to think these stations are legit. For starters, the size of the triple-head charger is much smaller than used for most electric vehicles in the United Kingdom. The location of the port also seems Tesla-specific.
Both of these factors mean Tesla might soon be making its way across the pond.
Talk of Tesla in Australia is all but a formality, and we already know that China is a for-sure, but now the little electric car that could really seems to be attempting a full-blown international splash.
Powers’ famed Astin Martin may be in for a run for its money.
