Tesla Model S Superchargers are offsetting 500,000 gallons of gas thanks to electric-vehicle charging stations that are changing the way Americans think about getting to and from places when they travel.
Technology is allowing Tesla drivers to go further than ever before, at a charging rate of more than 10 times the rate of public charging stations. Tesla does this by providing Supercharger stations that are available across America at 84 locations. Because of this, an entire American road trip could be taken without a single drop of gas!
Tesla has a vision to have these Superchargers in every state, but thus far, energy companies are playing to their strengths. Thus, they don’t exisit yet in Texas, Minnesota, Washington state, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Maine.
But the Supercharger grid is only going to grow. By the end of 2015, there will be 200 of these stations across the country. That’s a lot of people able to drive a seriously sexy, speedy and environmentally-friendly electric car!
